Intrapreneur’s mission to improve over 500 businesses in next 5 years

Simon Ellson, has lived in Tring with his family since 1999 and, after over 30 years of growing his own and other people’s businesses, he’s committed to a vision to support over 500 local businesses to grow over the next five years. At a launch event at his office in Tring’s high street, he explained more about his mission.

“You see, according to the Small Business Association, 30 per cent of new businesses fail during the first two years of being open, 50 per cent during the first five years and 66 per cent during the first 10 – that’s just 12 out of 100 businesses surviving their first 10 years. Being in business should give you more life and contemplating a failure rate on that scale makes me determined to help with business re-education in the Hertfordshire community. We can dramatically improve Business survival rates and at ActionCOACH Tring that is our number one mission.”

Simon and his team of business coaches offer both one-to-one and group business coaching across Hertfordshire already working with more than 10 clients from a variety of sectors including IT, retail, architecture and education.

“To ensure we hit this huge target, we’ll be creating a support team for each business coach covering Tring, Hemel Hempstead, Berkhamsted, Kings Langley and Chesham. That means that our team of four will need to grow from January, adding another 10 by the end of 2019.”

Melanie Langley of Oliver Myles Events attended the event, sharing the success her business has experienced having worked with ActionCOACH Tring for the last five months.
